- 유라시아 고대 기마문화 연구성과 공유, 10.29. 오전 10시(현장‧온라인 동시) -

  문화재청 국립문화재연구소(소장 지병목)는 오는 29일 국립문화재연구소 문화재분석정보센터 강당에서 ‘2021 아시아의 고고학(Asian Archaeology)’ 국제학술대회를 개최한다.

  이번 학술심포지엄에서는 국내외 유라시아 고대 기마문화의 연구성과 발표를 비롯하여 몽골, 카자흐스탄, 우즈베키스탄, 키르기스탄 등 4개국의 학자들이 온라인으로 참여하여 각 지역의 최신 고고학 발굴조사 성과를 소개한다. 아울러 지난 2년간 코로나19 확산으로 국외유적 조사가 불가피하게 중단된 상황을 고려하여 앞으로 코로나19 이후 시대의 국외유적 조사연구 방향을 살펴보는 자리도 마련된다. 

  먼저 1부에서는 ▲ 한국 남부지역 고대 마구 연구현황과 과제(남상원, 국립문화재연구소), ▲ 흉노 무덤 출토 마구류(G. 에렉젠, 몽골과학아카데미 고고학연구소), ▲ 카자흐스탄 고대 마구(A.온가르, 카자흐스탄 마르굴란 고고학연구소) 등 한국과 유라시아 중요 국가의 마구 연구성과에 대해 살펴본다. 

  2부에서는 코로나19 이후의 시대 문화유산 연구방법을 논의한다. ▲ 포스트코로나시대 고고과학적 연구를 위한 국외 시료 수집 방법(홍종하, 경희대학교), ▲ 비중원계 철(철기) 생산기술 규명 모색(심재연, 한림대학교), ▲ 포스트코로나 시대 국외 공동발굴조사 방향성(정성목, 국립문화재연구소) 등 코로나19로 중단된 국외유적 조사연구에 대하여 새로운 조사와 연구 방법을 찾아보는 자리가 될 것이다.  

  3부에서는 우즈베키스탄과 키르기스스탄, 카자흐스탄과 몽골 등 4개국의 저명한 연구자들이 구석기 시대부터 중세 시대에 이르는 자국의 최근 발굴조사 성과를 발표한다. 

  1부·2부·3부의 발표를 모두 마치면 강인욱 교수(경희대학교)의 사회로 해외 각국 발표자들이 온라인으로 실시간 참여하여 유라시아 지역 최근 발굴성과에 대해 상호 질의와 응답하는 시간도 준비되어 있다. 이번 행사는 방역수칙을 준수하며 국내발표자는 현장에서, 국외발표자는 온라인으로 병행하여 운영한다. 관람을 원하는 일반인들은 29일 오전 10시부터 국립문화재연구소 유튜브 생중계를 통해 참여하면 된다. 발표 자료집도 국립문화재연구소 누리집에서 내려 받을 수 있다.

  문화재청 국립문화재연구소는 이번 학술심포지엄이 유라시아 고고학의 최근 조사·연구 성과를 확인하고, 코로나19로 중단된 국제 공동 발굴조사와 연구에 새로운 방향을 살펴보는 자리가 될 것으로 기대한다. 앞으로도 국내외 고고학의 핵심 조사연구기관으로서 한국을 비롯한 유라시아 고고학의 성과를 세계와 공유하고 선도하기 위하여 지속적으로 노력할 것이다.

The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage (Ji Byongmok, Director General), of the Cultural Heritage Administration will hold the international Symposium 2021 Asian Archaeologyat the assembly hall of the Cultural Heritage Analysis Information Center on Oct. 29.

Various research outcomes on Eurasian Horse Riding Culture from in- and outside of the country will be presented at this year’s conference, as well as the recent excavation discoveries of Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, by their respective experts via online presence. Furthermore, potential tasks and directionalities for the research of overseas sites in the Post-Covid times will be discussed, since international joint excavations have been on hold ever since the break of the pandemic.

The first part will cover the major research results of horse tacks in Korea and Eurasian regions: the current research and future tasks on ancient horse tacks in the souther area of Korea (Nam Sangwon, NRICH); horse tacks recovered from Xiongnu tombs (G. Eregzen, Mongolian Academy of Sciences); ancient horse tacks of Kazakhstan (Onggar, A. Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology).
Potential Post-Covid Research methods will be discussed in the second leg: Post-Covid sample collection methodologies for scientific research (Hong Jongha,Kyung Hee University); Inquiry into Non-Zhongyuan iron production technologies (Sim Jaeyeon, Hallym University); prospective coordination of Post-Covid Joint Excavations of overseas sites (JeongSeongmok, NRICH)

Prominent experts of Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Mongolia will present the recent excavation results of their respective countries, ranging from the Paleolithic to the Medieval Times, in the third part.

Lastly, a QnA session - hosted by Prof. Kang Inuk (Kyung Hee University) - is scheduled, during which all speakers can participate via online conference to ask and answer questions about the recent discoveries made in the Eurasian Regions.

This event will be held both at the venue - following the quarantine guidelines such as wearing of a mask, keeping the physical distance and screening of the body temperature- for the Korean speakers, and ‘untact’ for the speakers from other countries and participants –streaming live on YouTube https://youtu.be/srmNDfU1MYofrom 10:00 am KST on October 29, 2021 -. The National Research Institute of the Cultural Heritage Administration expects this event to be an opportunity to review the recent research/investigation outcomes of the Eurasian Archaeology, and examine new possibilities for joint excavations of overseas sites, which have been put on hold due to the pandemic. The ‘executive agency’, as the major research institute in- and outside of Korea, will continue to strive to lead and promote the Eurasian Archaeology.
